CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
Jerry Lukowski - tenor. 32 year old unemployed steel worker. Divorced, father to Nathan. This blue collar, rough around the edges guy is a combination dreamer and slacker. Our everyman hero out to restore his MAN status.
Nathan Lukowski - 12 year old – wise crackin’ kid trying to make the best of a bad situation. Wise beyond his years.
Pam Lukowski - mezzo. Ex-wife of Jerry. Pragmatic and sensible – hasn’t lost the wild and crazy side Jerry fell in love with, but wants something more. Deep down she regrets Jerry’s inability to grow up.
Teddy Slaughter - Pam’s live in boyfriend – he’s asked her to marry him.
Dave Bukatinsky - tenor. Over-weight and unemployed – his lack of confidence in his looks, provider status and manhood is beginning to affect his relationship with his wife and his best friend Jerry.
Georgie Bukatinsky - mezzo. Employed, empowered and in charge – she organizes the local “ladies night out” – but misses her husband.
Ethan Girard - tenor. Clumsy and clueless – a likeable lug with a heart of gold he has spent far too long without finding “the right one”.
Malcolm McGreggor - tenor. Shy and introverted, he is tortured by his inability to get out from under the thumb of his mother – and absolutely terrified that one day he might. He’s paralyzed by fear and considers the “guys” his first friends.
Molly McGreggor – Elderly mother of Malcolm.
Harold Nichols - baritone. Unemployed steel mill manager but he’s failed to break the news to his lovely wife. Not a popular guy at the plant – especially after the closing.
Vicki Nichols - mezzo. Loves her husband and all the gifts he continues to buy her – but her true colors are shown when the truth comes out – truly Harold’s lovely wife.
Noah “Horse: Simmons - baritone. The “Big Black Man” – church going, family oriented guy who lost his job at McDonalds because he scared the customers.
Jeanette Burmeister - alto. A piano player of indeterminate age – she’s been there and done that – do not try to out do her.
Buddy “Keno” Walsh - Professional stripper – must be comfortable in a g-string (only). Decidedly gay, but in an up-state way. Can hold his own in a bar fight.
Estelle Genovese - alto. Jerry’s sometimes girlfriend – known around town as the “go to girl”.
Tony Giordano - Restaurant owner where Ladies Night is held.
Molly McGregor/dance student - Girls Night participant – must be comfortable stuffing bills into guy’s g-strings.
